The 3510 is a pulse input module. Each TMR digital input module contains three isolated electronic devices (channels) that independently process field data. Each channel places processed data into an array and transmits it to the associated MP upon request. The MP validates the data before passing it to the application.

The DI module includes comprehensive, continuous diagnostics for each channel. If diagnostics detect a fault, the fault indicator illuminates and activates a system alarm. The DI module continuously verifies the system's ability to transition to the opposite state.
